STAY
We joined Into The Wild Escapes to experience their off-grid tiny homes. Full of eco-friendly essentials, including our linen on the beds of course, expansive views that bring the outside in - they’re the perfect place to practise the art of slowing down.
I’m Celeste Giannas, the founder of Into The Wild Escapes. My passion, together with our team is to create restorative experiences in nature that allow people to reconnect with themselves and the world around them.
I spend my time balancing an array of hats, which I love! From partnering with various suppliers and stakeholders, reviewing beautiful, remote locations for our tiny homes, working with local communities and landowners and deploying tiny homes to their new land in the wild and so much more.
To me, creativity is all about continuing to see the world with fresh eyes and finding beauty in the little things.
Inspiration comes most vividly from nature, minimalism and mindfulness. Whether it’s the textures of a landscape, the changing colours of the seasons, the simplicity of minimal design or the calm found in stillness and presence. Nature, minimalism and mindfulness inspire everything we do here at Into The Wild Escapes.
I also find inspiration hearing stories and feedback from our lovely guests - hearing how our tiny homes might have helped them to free their mind and rekindle their connections, adds purpose and meaning to the entire creative process.
Into The Wild Escapes offers thoughtfully crafted nature retreats designed for rest, rejuvenation and a return to simplicity.
Our escapes - known as rewilding experiences - invite guests to step away from the fast pace of modern life and reconnect with nature’s beauty. Each tiny home stay combines minimalistic design with comfort, featuring luxurious linens, artisanal coffee, eco-friendly cleaning products and fans/or air conditioning for those hot summer days.
We work closely with our partners at Trusts, First Nations and other national and state groups to ensure a culturally respectful approach to placing our tiny homes. These off-grid tiny homes provide space for quiet reflection, allowing guests to swap digital noise for the calming sounds of nature.
In 2017, we (a group of overworked and busy friends and family) were seeking better connection with one another. Quality time spent together without distraction.
The modern world can feel overwhelming, and I personally felt the need for a sanctuary where I could breathe freely and immerse myself in the calm of untouched landscapes. Secluded locations offer just that - a purity and stillness that I believe many of us crave—places where time slows down, the mind clears, and we can truly reawaken our sense of wonder.
Our tiny homes maintain a cohesive design ethos throughout all of our tiny homes across the fleet. As a brand, our tiny homes offer a natural, minimalist aesthetic with premium comforts. This allows all of our tiny homes to have a distinct Into The Wild Escapes feel.
While all our tiny homes share these core elements, some of our tiny homes offer unique variations. We have our family-tiny home style which sleeps up to six with a queen bed by the window, double bed in the loft and two-single bunk beds. We also have our more traditional layout which sleeps up to four guests – with a queen bed by the window and a double bed in the loft.
Recently with our Volvo partnership, we have a new style joining our fleet which will be our first tiny home for two! Ideal for romantic escapes.
Additionally, a few of our cabins feature bespoke touches, bringing subtle, curated differences while staying true to the brand experience that defines us.
Our design sensibility centres around creating spaces that invite the natural world in. Think minimalist simplicity, large windows inviting nature in, an earthy palette and natural textures inspired by the landscapes that surround each tiny home. Our aesthetic is also about leaning into high-quality, sustainable materials and items – like luxurious linens, eco-friendly products and artisan roasted coffee.
I believe a ‘home’ is the feeling it evokes—a sense of warmth, peace and comfort where you can fully unwind.
To us, it’s the thoughtful details that make a tiny home on wheels feel like a home – whether that’s for a night, or week-long stay. The softness of luxurious linens, the familiar scent of the wild (eucalyptus and lemon myrtle!) and those small touches like artisanal roasted coffee waiting for you in the morning. A home should be a sanctuary and a place where you feel connected to both your surroundings and yourself.
My daily rituals are all about finding small moments of calm and connection wherever possible.
If I’m near one of our tiny homes on a deployment, I love taking a quiet moment outdoors, just listening to the sounds around me before a busy day ahead. It’s incredibly grounding.
If I’m in the city, practising mindfulness daily or taking a walk when possible before or after work with the kids allows me to feel centred and inspired. Just getting outside and exploring is so important to me.
