The color was a bit different from what I expected - perhaps a shade of gray in it and not quite as creamy as I had imagined, but I liked it a lot nevertheless. It has a wonderful, rather heavy feeling that is so distinctive to Cultiver linen. It also looks great on my king-size bed - I think the orientation of the stripes changes according to whether you are using it on a queen or a king.
My one reservation with it has to do with the dark lines, which consist of a bundle of threads. The look of it is really great but within a day of nothing unusual by way of use, a couple of the single threads had sort of pulled up a bit and made a couple of little loops which I could not fix but pulling on the thread either side of the little loop. This is not a big deal but it does worry me a bit and I wondered if there was some way to smooth out those little pulled threads a bit? With a few of them - maybe 5 - it does not detract from the lovely look of the piece, but I worry that it might if that happened more often.
